Are you a skilled Refrigeration B Technician with a passion for the food industry? An exciting opportunity is available in Cambridge, Ontario. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional to join a leading food solutions company. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining a cold, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Your expertise will support the operation and maintenance of an industrial ammonia refrigeration system while ensuring all safety and regulatory standards are met. You will also be involved in troubleshooting, coordinating with external contractors, and tracking equipment and building repairs to optimize performance.

Shift: Nights – Sunday to Thursday (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
Rate: $50/hour

Responsibilities
Coordinate operation of building systems including HVAC and refrigeration
Operate and monitor industrial ammonia refrigeration systems
Complete daily system checks, readings, and logbooks
Install, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical plant equipment
Troubleshoot and repair production-related breakdowns
Perform preventive maintenance and calibration activities
Identify ways to improve maintenance efficiency and reduce utility costs
Work with external contractors and inspectors
Enforce safety, health, contamination, and housekeeping standards
Track repairs and complete maintenance reports
Promote and follow all health and safety standards
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Valid Refrigeration B and Millwright licenses (mandatory)
2–5 years of industrial mechanical experience (food industry preferred)
Welding experience (ARC, TIG, MIG) and machine shop skills
Ability to perform repetitive lifting and handle meat products
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Legally eligible to work in Canada
